She lived for at least a year partially paralyzed in a yard, without any help. When she came to us, she visited a vet for the very first time in her life – at 10 years old. There it was discovered that she had a serious spinal disc injury, and the doctors could hardly believe she was still able to stand on her legs at all. She went through spinal surgery and was spayed as well, and today she walks beautifully again and is completely pain-free! One of her eyes also had to be removed due to an internal inflammation that caused her great pain. Now she has fully recovered and is a healthy, happy dog. Maci is an incredibly kind, gentle, and grateful soul. She has no fear – she radiates trust and joy for life. She gets along well with other dogs (though she can be a little dominant sometimes), and she’s also great with cats. She’s fully house-trained, doesn’t destroy things, has no separation anxiety, and absolutely loves being indoors with her humans. She has learned to walk nicely on the leash while staying with us – something she had never experienced before. Maci is suitable for families with children and would also be a wonderful first dog.
